Fun and imminently applicable, WINGMAN is not the normal dating app, but for people already in a relationship. Using “recommendation engines” and “collaborative filtering" to research a date/partner/spouse’s interests (in music, movies, food, etc.), WINGMAN provides bull’s eye accurate recommendations about shows, cultural events, restaurants and well-thought-out dates. For example, mining information from a date’s Facebook, GrooveShark, Pandora and what you input yourself, WINGMAN tells you if any favorite bands are in town, and then, using a stylized algorithm, produces a playlist, and suggests where to eat dinner. Or, looking at your date’s favorite movies, WINGMAN smartly recommends films for a casual night at home, or an evening out. Most “dating apps” are concerned with getting a first date. WINGMAN is about making sure that those dates lead to a happy-ever after by researching an accurate and informative profile for your date/partner, and putting this information into play.
