bubblr is a music service that makes it possible for communities to share and discover the music they love. bubblr allows users to interact with music in the form of bubbles. When a user drops a track, a bubble centered on their current location is formed with an initial spatial coverage on a map interface. By default, users’ track playlists are populated by the bubbles that are closest to them. Listeners can choose to upvote a bubble and increase its coverage, or downvote and thereby decrease a bubble’s coverage. By tying content to location, bubblr solves problems shared among music communities. Venues can feature artists and sell tickets in app, musicians can reach out to listeners around them, and businesses can target more granular markets via bubbles. bubblr is not simply another music service. bubblr is a truly new way to share and discover music that enables communities to shape their soundscapes and establish a relevant music experience.
